Why is Imran Khan making me Lose my Mind? Why would I Need a PHD in Imraniaat?

Cold war is a time in history which is arguably the most most important era of known human history as far time line is concerned in many aspects(not religious) to date. Human life has arguably seen unprecedented comforts resources and resources.

There is a lot of disagreement in this area but In my (very humble)opinion the history of Cold War Precedes second world war. If you ask me, at the least the invention of penicillin should be included in this era(Greater cold war era?) to study several aspects of the time. The invention of Penicillin according to many is as extension of medical practices and advances of the Colonial (Pre and post) era, and I do not wish to disagree. However it is my opinion as a student of history that this invention is brought into consideration while studying several aspects of advancements/changes in Human history even when studying second part of 20th century.

If books written about cold war alone of the era are put together, they would probably fill many tens of rooms like the one I am sitting in(and I mean in form of storage not library). Imran Khan would blast off with with summing it up in one sentence, like: We shold not have been at US side during the cold war
while some of the thoughts I mentioned above would come to mind plus more questions, whether he means if we should not have sided with the free world? Was neutrality really an option? Why did Afghanistan oppose Pakistani membership of the UN(presumably on Soviet request), how is it that a senior leader like him can not know the history of Congress with USSR precedes independence??

While you think all that, after this one sentence Imran would jump onto another Pandora's box giving the final verdict:

It is our sins during the Soviet occupation that we are paying the price today

Another Pandora's box. Seriously? Ever heard of Original Sin Mr.Khan? Is your speech writer a Catholic who wrote it without your permission? How is it that someone can believe a man is born into sin? One can think of a few very valid points Dr.Naiks usually makes during his debates with Christians.

Like Bible: Ezikel 19-20

19"Yet you say, 'Why should the son not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity?' When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has observed all My statutes and done them, he shall surely live. 20"The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son's iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself. 21"But if the wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed and observes all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall surely live; he shall not die.…

And Quran:

“…No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only), and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another…” (Quran 6:164)

"That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. And that man can have nothing but what he does (of good and bad). And that his deeds will be seen, Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense [fair] " (Quran 53:38-41)”

Apnay gunahoon ki Khan sab tauba kar gaye hein aur logoon ko nakarda gunahoon ki saza milnay ka fatwa day rahey hein

Subhaan Allah

Then he would jump to another issue that would put your mind into spin:

“We committed a mistake by entering the war on terror, the terrorism is a result of that”

Alright, let me play devil's advocate here. Say if Imran Khan was in power at sep 11 2001 in Pakistan. And the next day he received a phone call from the US President:

  1. “Mr.Imran, we have reasons and proof(however self righteous) to believe elements supported by your Government were behind the attacks, we have a coalition of 90 countries waiting for our order.. 25 Trident, the ballistic missiles which fires from underneath sea, oversimplified for your Mr.Khan, nuclear armed submarines are waiting near your coastline for our orders. Three air craft carriers and 1000 fighter, fighter bombers, full time bombers. 851 delivery vehicles and 22000 Strategic Nuclear Missiles and public opinion can be unleashed on you and your people on a moment's notice. Your children and ex wife in UK have been surrounded by the CIA and would be declared enemy combatants and taken to our secret(so far undeclared) prison in Cuba. UN China Saudi Arabia UAE Iran and other Middle eastern countries are on board. Your opposition leaders have assured us they would support us in case we decide to attack Pakistan.
You have two options, tell us clearly or we would assume otherwise

Are you WITH US or AGAINST US?”

What do you think would Imran say? Me? I don't think Imran would say much,I think he would say Sir you should ask the new leader because I resigned at first part of your phone call

At least Musharraf had a policy(however flawed), Imran would simply flee to UK or US requesting political asylum.

By now if an Imran suppurter is reading he would be jumping to ask me,as would be Imran's next sentence:

“Whaatt OO whaatt Jee wattt logic is that? SLAVE or ally? Why not the third option while looking in their eyes.”

Now your mind would go in another spin and you would be dying to tell him and ask him, how manrted he actually(according to him) volunteered to vote for Musharraf in April 2002 MONTHS after the Afghan war started!! I was not.. Imran was.

Then the most interesting of all logic would come:
“Musharraf wanted to make me President and I declined”

Aaaah aarrrrrrrrr everyone from Aitzaz Ahsan,CJ(Governor in his case)Amin Fahim,Nawazy countries have had the luxury during war time? When international opinion is turned into that kind of spin, sometimes the only option is neutrality and transit! O but wait, that would probably be my second point. My first being..Imran SUPPORTED Musharraf's decision ..! Not only he suppo Sharif,Benazir,Javed hashmi,Shehbaz Sharif and Allah alone knows how many others think Musharraf was dying to make them Prime Minister. The only problem is he did not. And I for personal reason am aware that it was Imran who first requested a meeting with Musharraf not Musharraf.

And if I do not turn TV off or change the channel Imran would be babbling about something to do with some SP(superintendent Police).

While one woild be pushed deep into thoughts about how petty he has become,or he always was. Separation of powers,US constitution, British doctrines and Don't even know what else. At least a page full of stuff when he would be whining about some politician:

“Who has/did/had assured him has observed “Tauba” from his past ways and plans to reform”

while one would then be taken from thoughts ranging from Q.U.Shahab's book where he quoted all the bureaucrats who made a similar speech to the fact that all the politicians always say that he would jump into another topic.

At this point usually one would be only able to see Imran babbling and can barely comprehend him Yelling what one's perceptions translates as “Amriaaaat Jamhooriat!! Dictatorship! Democracy! Dictator Dictator Dictator!!” in his fit of rage and would be thinking “I ..But ..I don't agree with Parlimentry democracy without comprehensive intra paty elections,it IS dictator ship” but soon after that one would not be able to understand what he is saying(or what one wants to think),close to Catatonia due to over thinking one would be obliged to ignore him. One needs a PHD in Imraniaat(not sociology in Urdu, “Imran Khaniaat”) to understand Imran's point of view. And one can only tell oneself the only thing Ill Informed Imran watched is Geo and his speech writers write what they want.

May Allah guide us all,and humble enough to seek guidance(ameen)..!

Pakistan Budget 2013

Interesting Budget indeed, Don't mind the extra taxes on luxury items, or direct taxation. Increase in VAT and increase in its scope(even to Milk) is indeed a BAD idea. It would effectively raise the price of Milk and related items like Butter cheese etc. by 16% by immediate effect for packaged ones and in the near future for Gawala Milk and products.
But again its hardly surprising as One can recall This team was the one which introduced VAT in Pakistan during the late 90s at the first place raising prices by 15% at the time. But where the hell is austerity? And NO I do not mean petty issues like PM house or Government house. Rs.500 something Billion Rs development budget at this point in time is outrageous Surely other more productive areas (industrialization anyone?) areas can provide employment instead of Bridges to nowhere...They would probably yield less kickbacks and commissions for Lohaar though

The Fourth and Fifth Generation warfare,Turkey and Pakistan

So..The Foreign backed unrest starts in Turkey too..
I feel it won't succeed in Turkey for a number of reasons. Their attachment and love for their religion(by far) would be a deciding factor eventually...they have the will infrastructure(by far) and Forces to defend themselves. Unlike Libya Somalia Sudan Yemen and Afghanistan. Their  infrastructure, forces, love for their religion and attachment to their heritage(that of Islam) are far superior then many other countries entangled in this crisis.

Their armed forces are professional(although lack Nuclear Umbrella) but still its by far the most Superior the "conspirators" have face to date that have faced such kind of warfare. comparable to perhaps only Pakistan where Fourth and Fifth Generation are being waged . Its easily noticeable,a simple rule of the thumb I have to judge a country. The countries which have fought wars, pitched battles(Syria and Egypt) in the past and have good conventional forces are not very easy to digest even in the most vicious of fourth generation war(Syria). Fourth and Fifth generation warfare have failed to perish Pakistan after more then a decade of Very Direct NATO and CIA involvement. Apart from Providence I personally attribute this fact to a couple of reasons, two of them being:

1. A professional Army which is designed to fight foreign incursions and all out war.
2. Tolerance Threshold of People..People refuse to chase shadows and make unreasonable choices despite economy in near collapse. Artificial Chronic power shortage touching 50-70% electricity outages. As the media puts it "Log bayhis hein". I would gladly say behis nai aqal valay hein that they are not going in streets because idiots like Hamid Mir asks them to.

It is of interest and requires further research about the over use of agitation to Remove Ayub in the 60s has a part to play in it. After all no one wanted a person like Bhutto in Power which he turned out to be. And since 1970 elections his party has never been able to form a government in Punjab Province despite I donno..CIA Deals.. Assassinations(General Zia) NRO.. What have they not tried but PPP never had a majority in Punjab after their role in 71. General Zia might have been a good man,but it is the sad truth that sometimes he patronised idiots like Nawaz Sharif and in 77 it was the people who suffered. What I think is they also have a memory in the back of their minds about 1977 agitations leading to nowhere. I am aware of the counter argument that removal of Bhutto alone was a great deal and 77 was a success. In my Opinion Memory of the Political Chaos to nowhere during the 90s further "enlightened" people.

Another reason that historians would note is, this campaign in Pakistan and Turkey is fundamentally flawed. You can not expect to make fun of Kargil, equate it with 71 and our so called "Debacles" (as the enforces of CIA backed war put) in 65. Except creating a list of discredited people, among them some sad old Alcoholics like Nusrat Javed and Hassan Nisar, killing more then a hundred thousand Pakistanis in direct terrorist actions and effecting tens of millions in indirect actions and opportunity costs this war is basically a stalemate and has gone nowhere.
Even a further escalation for 5th Generation war(which is an evolving concept if you ask me) did't help much.
