So... Supreme Court disqualified Nawaz Sharif. They pointed at the tip of iceberg, disqualified it and asked NAB to uncover the iceberg. He has in another questionable move has decided to go to Lahore Via GT road. Apparently he thinks he can gather some people and make his presence felt. Its absurd. Its not stupid, its not borderline absurd, its pure absurdity. His party is in power, he is still the party chief despite ECP declaring it void and he exercises de facto control over the Federal government, Full control over Punjab and Balochistan government, wink of an eye style understanding with Sindh Government and it appears he does at some Level enjoy some sort of settle meant with kph gov. And gov in Kashmir and GB.
What would it achieve? In the times we are living there is a clear and present danger of someone taking the opportunity and committing acts of terror to destabilise the country. Ironically his supporters and at least one federal minister(Khwaja asif) has used pictures of Mumtaz Qadri's funeral to claim that people are out in streets to support them. Irony is lost at the situation..
