All Roads Lead to Tel Aviv

There has been talk of an air strike on Iran by Israel. I have been following it keenly and it is of interest that Israel feels such a move is even possible.

I can not help but marvel at the Idiotic propaganda by Israel. After Zaid Hamid visited Iran it has been interestingly more difficult for Israel to do so as Iranians issued the same threat to Israel(on the footsteps of Pakistan ..The 80s) that no matter what the markings on the plane says. No matter where the attack comes from Iran would attack Demona Nuclear Project in the Negev Desert and probably Flat Tel Aviv.

But that is secondary,it is of prime importance that we understand the Myth of Israeli Air Superiority.

1967: Six Day War

Now first few hours of the surprise attack Israel Destroyed bulk of the Air Force of the three Muslim Countries on Ground, How was that possible? Why did Israel stop the war then since they had complete air superiority?

The answer it seems is not in sight and not a complicated one at all. Amazingly hidden in the Fog of Zionist propaganda.  They did attack and destroy many of the aircrafts on ground before the actual hostilities start(What does that say about Israel, Fire Starter?)

It is of common sense that air superiority is as good as you can maintain it. Here and here are two links explaining what I am about to in a nutshell

To out run a country, A Muslim country is not an easy task at hand. In a direct battle we fight at each and every step, every crack is a potential sniper, every brick and obstacle and every soldier a suicide bomber. A classic example is the Italian Occupation of

Ottoman Tripolitania

(Modern day Libya) which despite a handful of Turkish troops defending the country Italians could hardly occupy a coastal strip and eventually lost.

The Israeli Air Dominance ended as soon as they came in Direct Air Combat with the Pakistani Pilots! Flying the same English and Soviet Junk we had torn to pieces again and again in the 1965 war(Hunter) the Pakistanis maintained a 100% air-to-air kill ratio. Israel had only but on handful of occasions clashed with well trained battle hardened and experienced Pilots(Pakistanis) and on every single occasion with the Grace of Allah Israel Air Force was outclassed.

The Ramadan War

Muslims were relaxing on the Eid Day when the Jews struck, and then they slept in arrogance for a few years. It was now the turn of Muslims to strike on their Festival, the Yorm Kippurn when THEY were relaxing in the occupied lands.

To cut a very long story short Muslims attacked,they captured Senai and advanced rapidly on the Golan Heights and had prepared good air defences for Israeli aircraft. The Great American effort to protect Israel(Airlift)took place a little later in the day. Enough about the Pathetic performance of Israeli Airforce can be said. Facts speak for themselves. Tel Aviv was in aritillay range of Egypt from one side and Syrian the other side by the time Operation Nickel Grass;

The Aerial fight over Golan

On 26 April, 1974, PAF fighter pilot Flight Lieutenant Sattar Alvi on deputation to No. 67A Squadron, Syrian Air Force (SAF) was flying a SAF MiG-21F-13 Fishbed (Serial No. 1863) out of Dumayr Air Base, Syria in an eight-ship formation with a fellow PAF pilot and the Flight Leader, Squadron Leader Arif Manzoor.[4]
Alvi came to a worldwide international notice when he had shot down the IAF's Mirage IIICJ flown by Captain M. Lutz. On 26 April 1974, while on an aerial patrol, the PAF fighter pilots team including, Flight Lieutenant Captain Sattar Alvi, Squadron Leader Major Saleem Metla and the formation's leader Squadron Leader Major Arif Manzoor. The Shahbaz faced an encounter over Golan Heights between a Mig-21 of the Syrian Air Force and two Israeli Mirages.[5]
While leading a Mig-21 patrol along the border, Squadron Leader Arif Manzoor apprised of the presence of two Israeli Phantom aircraft and was cautioned that these could be decoys while two other fast tracks approaching from the opposite direction might be the real threat. The latter turned out to be Mirages and a moment later Alvi, in Arif’s formation saw the No 2 Mirage breaking towards him.[6] All this time, heavy radio jamming by Israeli ground stations was making things difficult but the Pakistani pilots were used to such tactics. Sattar forced the Israeli pair into close combat, firing his K-13 missile at the first opportunity. The Israeli wingman’s Mirage exploded into a ball of fire, while the leader quickly disengaged.[7]

That was the last Time Israel Clashed with a formidable opponent. They have been attacking the defenseless Labenese and Palestinians from time to time but have never dared to invade a country prepared for them. Well at least not on the record, the aborted Mission on Pakistan is an exception. But we'll come to that later..

How The Israeliz got Arrogant again in 1981

Saddam helped to power by the US and was busy in the Iraq war. Apparently Iraq decided to get nuclear weapons. Iraq was heavily penetrated be the Americans, as was to be proved in the later war. Operation Babylon[2] was a surprise Israeli air strike carried out on June 7, 1981, that destroyed a nuclear reactor under construction 17 kilometers (10.5 miles) southeast of Baghdad, Iraq.

Israeliz flew low to avoid radar detection, had a homing device with some Unfortunate French Engineer who had no clue he would be a victim himself and hit the reactor or so they say. I have serious serious doubts about that but I would come to that later. Interestingly two Iranian F-4 Fantoms (Atleast a generation old) had also hit the reactor a few months earlier so no need to over glorify the attack.

This attack makes no sense to begin with...To be honest I am appalled at the acceptance of the Israeli version of the attack. What the hell were anti air crafts for? The Anti Air Craft Artillay? AA Guns? Lighter anti craft weapons?Manpads?SAMs? The barrage balloons? Ack-Acks are not that in effective!

On the 6th of September 1965 Indians Flew Low undetected over the lower Jehlum Link Canal and attacked Sargodha Air Base from the east, The rattatttaaattttt from the JCO manning the Anti Aircraft Gun who opened fire as soon as he saw the Aircrafts was the first sound and an explosion and sirens followed. In a few seconds Hell Broke loose and hundreds of Ack-Ack Anti Aircraft Guns and Artillary opened fire creating a net over the city. The whole attack was a failure and the Indians were able to destroy ONE F-86 Sabre.
There are accounts of people yelling What the hell do we have Star Fighter for? Bring them out and get the buggers!

The Allies lost around 10 000 Airmen just to ensure the Allied Landing of Normandy took place without Luftwaffe being able to resist. A fact which is often overlooked.

Indians tried the same low flying technique in 1965 unsucessfully to destroy the Bridge on Darya e Chenab near Chiniot. That story is the story of human courage and endurance. The Air Craft was strafing and the Gunner fired directly at the air crafts from the ground. The attack failed miserably and some of the Gunners at Chenab embraced shahadat, today that placed is marked to commemorate their sacrifices.

What happened to the Anti Aircraft defenses in Iraq?I simply don't know. And I Don't see much court marshals to back the theory a whole group of gunners left their position accidentally at the time to have meal.

Well, one way or another they did carry out the attack successfully. And well they started riding on the "Invincible" rhetoric. High on the drug of victory as we call it in Urdu they decided to invade Pakistan.

Here is my article on this topic:

An attack which never took place: Aborted Israeli Aerial attack on Pakistan

The question is, to me. Israel has the capabilities to attack Iran or would the attack be a miserable failure? No one can predict a war and I would discuss Ground Based Defences and Aerial Warfare in another post. But briefly here are some of the details of Irani Air Defences.

Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force (Persian: قرارگاه پدافند هوایی ارتش جمهوری اسلامی ایران‎) also known as Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base (Persian: قرارگاه پدافند هوايي خاتم الانبياء‎) is a branch split of from IRIAF in 2008 and has more than 18,000 military personnel it controls all of Iran's military land-based air defense. It is currently commanded by General Farzad Esmaili.

Even if we ignore the long list of Ack-Ack (AA) Guns and Artillery here is a list of potent missiles against high altitude and low altitude targets. Although Israel lacks Stealth Weapons but nothing is stealth beyond 2GH of frequency (Low-frequency radar)

I seriously doubt Israel has the capability to launch sucessful air strikes either from high altittude or low alttitude. The Abbott Operation(Murky as it is) was a low altitude attack on an undefended target where a few of the helicopters sneaked in. There are virtually NO example of successful low altitude attacks against well defended targets. How can there be?Conventional weapon can blast any low flying target out of the sky!!!

The Only practical sucessful strike in theory can come via Ballistic missiles. That too possibly tactical nuclear devices. Last Ballistic Missiles were used it was 1940s and it is to seen what damage they can do to fortified underground structures. If they can penetrate Nuclear Blast Shelter style bunkers with out Nuclear Bunker Buster (Nuke) or not is a huge question mark.

And then, how would the world react to a counter attack on Tel Aviv Demona and other sites of strategic and symbolic importance? And yes I mean in case of a failed or aborted attack? What if Iran tests the Nuclear weapons next day ? .. The problem started when Israel acquired Nukes, some people are already suggesting that Israel is not the center of Jews anymore and an equal response to a nuclear war would be pre planted death squads who kill Jews Hitler style.
India did't help Israel either by forcing Pakistan into the nuclear arms race!

If you ask me!To stop all the wars in the middle east All Roads Lead to Tel Aviv.
